I retired in 1993 after 30 years in the retail industry. Since retire-
ment I have been able to devote more time to my wood carving and participate in several art shows a year selling my wildlife sculptures focusing on herons, egrets and pelicans.
    The Mulligan Collectibles © were developed around 2003 and have become very popular items at my art shows. This encouraged me to decide to put the mulligans online in Fall of 2006.
   Even though the mulligans are somewhat of a novelty creation, I put the same attention to detail in the crafting and painting of them that I give to my wildlife wood sculptures.

   
    Part of the charm of the mulli-
gans is the warmth and character of the wooden club head once I have removed all of the paint and varnish.
   Wooden golf club heads were made primarily of either persim-
mon (solid wood head) or lami-
nated maple. The laminated maple club head projects more of a wood grain look, but some customers consider the persimmon to be the original wood used in the produc-
tion of early wooden club heads.
   You may request either persimmon or laminated maple for your mulligan.

      A four-inch circular wooden base is included at no charge.
      The base has a walnut finish and adds just the right touch for displaying your mulligan.

      When I first started making the mulligans, customers asked if I would sign their selection.
       Since then, I have been wood-  burning my name on the toe of each club head.
